Got Quoted On The Philippine Online Chronicles

Monday, August 17, 2009

I was going to post about something when something caught my eye: Comments from previous posts. I then decided to check them all out, from the old to the oldest.

All comments left on my posts is what I would say "so-far-so-good." I really appreciate it when people leave their ideas behind, be it positive, negative, or violent. Opinions give other people (like me) the idea and the inspiration to conger up something worthwhile and write it here at Tj's Daily®

Then I spotted this:

It was a comment left behind a couple of months ago which I was only able to read now. It says I got quoted on the website Philippine Online Chronicles (POC). I was somehow surprised in disbelief because this site of mine in my opinion is getting only cobwebs, not people. I quickly checked out the link left behind by the gracious blogger Laya. It was dead. I thought "Oh well it was a 3-month old post. They might've deleted it already." Then I typed on POC's search bar: It was still there. Check out the boxed area below:

With all humility and bragging aside, it says Tj Panganiban right there, which is kinda cool. Never thought other people would be using some of my humble works for their humble works. Even though this might be a very small thing for some big pro bloggers out there, it's a huge thing for me - to be positively quoted and recognized in another website, that is.

Like I said at the upper portion of this post, opinions give other people ideas and inspirations. I hope people share more ideas and opinions objectively and in a bias-free manner, not the ones you see on TV. Those opinions are already tainted with self-interest. The web is a place where you can see the purest of objective and bias-free opinions. And I'm trying very hard to stay both.

To the folks at POC: I've visited and read a few articles on your website. It's good to see that people are keeping an open mind for everything at your place. I could get ideas from y'all too. A very nice place to stay and think at. And I'm not saying this because I got mentioned there. I'm saying it because it really is what it is.

For the last time: I got quoted. Cool.

'Till my next installment.
